Queensberry have just released a sneak preview of their new album, the Musee. With pages made from beautiful archival cotton based watercolour papers from the same paper mill that Monet bought his papers from and a leather cover from the same mill that supplies to Hermes, a box design that dates back to the voyages of Captain Cook…

I think the Musee will attract a lot of attention and give the bride and groom that want something extra special a dream album. As soon as I can get an example, I’ll let all my clients know.

We had more nice weather today for the pre wedding shoot of Sharon and Dave. The couple were great fun to work with and seemed to really enjoy themselves whilst I dragged them around Fenstanton. The happy couple are getting married in April at Hinchingbroke House near Huntingdon and I’m sure the day is going to be a real blast and so much fun to shoot.

With the sun out and shinning, I was able to get some great pre wedding shots of Janine & Paul this morning at locations around my studio in Fenstanton. The happy couple are getting married later in in the year at the Hotel Felix in Cambridge and judging on todays shoot they will be great fun to be around on the wedding day.

I find a good run before work always helps clear my head but I was confronted by a torrent of flood water on my regular route this morning and had to make a major detour. Godmanchester normally gets a fair bit of water as it’s river runs passed England’s largest meadow. Portholme meadow is a local flood plane and generally fills up with water from the Great Ouse every winter, but to see the local footpaths and children’s play park like this meant I had to return later on with my faithful i-phone to get a few shots.

I will be exhibiting at two more weddings fairs over the next few months. The first is at Wood Green, near Huntingdon on the 28th Feb from 11am until 4pm. The second will be at Normanton Park Hotel on the South Shore of Rutland water near Oakham on the 28th March. Going on past experience, both shows should prove very useful for next years bookings.

As a photographer with over 20 years experience, I always thought I could handle most jobs and nothing would faze me. I’ve photographed everything from the the Royal Family to new born babies but after spending yesterday with a national press photographer, I realise I had met my match. Our job was to get a shot of a certain naughty footballer?? But as I had expected, most celebs hide behind blacked out car windows and in properties hidden by big walls and fences. So patiently from 7am until 7pm we sat over looking the main gates of the estate, twitching every time a car arrived or left but without ever seeing the naughty boy. It was cold, rained all day and I longed for a bride and groom to work my magic on. So after a long day of contemplation I left knowing I was living my dream and weddings and family portraits were my passion. Full respect to all the press photographers out there that fill our daily’s with news and gossip, they have a tough job.

After a hectic few days following a press photographer around London it was nice to get back to what I enjoy, wedding photography. Todays pre wedding shoot of Vicky and Paul was at the venue they have chosen for their big day, Swynford Paddocks near Newmarket. We were due some snow which luckily never materialised as Vicky really hates the cold and we got some great shots of the couple having some fun around the grounds Swynford.

I have been asked on several occasion now when I would put a few shots of my Rome trip on the blog. It has taken a few months but last night I found the time to get some images ready and here they are, better late than never. Rachael and I only had a few days in the city but it’s beauty and romance will stay in out hearts forever. Rome is an amazing place to visit and the one city in the world I would love to shoot a wedding, fingers crossed.

I had the pleasure of shooting the pre wedding session of Nicola and Daniel at my studio in Fenstanton this morning. The weather was consistent yet again and we had to contend with both snow showers and the cold, but the smiles and laughter never stopped and the couple seemed to enjoy themselves. There are some great locations around the studio and both Nicola and Daniel really got in to the shoot and the urban feel we introduced. They are getting married in March at the Old Bridge Hotel, Huntingdon, a great wedding venue on the edge of the Great Ouse.

Yesterday I photographed the new conservatory at Normanton Park Hotel in Rutland. Normanton Park is situated on the edge of Rutland water, nestled in trees making it a beautiful settings for a wedding. The new conservatory has a lake view and will no doubt prove very popular this summer. I always relish shooting weddings at Normanton as I always get a very warm welcome from the hotel staff and there are endless opportunities to capture stunning images in the extensive grounds.
