Wedding of Lisa & Andrew - 21st Feb

I awoke Saturday morning to beautiful weather, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, it was going to be a good day. I suppose it was destined to be great weather as Lisa and Andrew live in Australia and said they had brought it with them! As Lisa is originally from the Cambridge area, they decided to come back to the UK and get married at Chilford Hall, a perfect setting for the happy couple. The day ran smoothly from Lisa getting ready until I left after the first dance, we even had time to nip outside when it was dark to shoot some atmospheric night shots.

Joanna & Anthony Pre Wed

I had a great shoot today with soon to be married Joanna and Anthony. The couple are getting married in May in Hemingford Abbots and there will be a very relaxed country feel to their wedding. With high tea, a hog roast and a kaylee (ceilidh) band the day should be memorable for all those attending.

Swynford Paddocks Wedding Fair 1st March

Jyoti & Sam Pre Wedding Shoot

After a relaxing few days away over half term, I returned to the studio raring to go. My first job back was the pre wedding shoot of Jyoti & Sam. We were blessed with relatively mild weather compared to recent weeks, in fact Jyoti & Sam’s shoot had been rescheduled due to the snow we experienced a few weeks ago. The happy couple are having an Indian wedding near Manchester in May and an English wedding at Normanton Park Hotel in July. The two weddings combined will make a stunning Queensberry album or albums.

A few days rest

My fiance and I had planned to take a few days off during the half term holiday and booked a cottage in the Cotswolds. Unfortunately the photographs on the website didn’t represent the cottage in any way and after a brief complaint to the owner and with a full refund, we decided to head back home and look for a new place to stay. Our problems were solved after a quick call to Normanton Park Hotel in Rutland were we spent three fantastic restful days. I took my camera a captured the following images over a two day period, experiencing everything from early morning mist to glorious sunshine.

Wedding of Alex & Terence - 14th Feb 09

There can’t be a more romantic day to get married on than February 14th,valentines day. So it was with great pleasure that I photographed the wedding of Alex & Terence at Great St Marys Church, Cambridge with the reception at the Double Tree, Hilton. We were blessed with glorious weather all day which was a real bonus after the recent snow we have experienced. This enabled the groom and groomsmen to walk to the church from the Double Tree, something that had heads turning and tourist’s cameras snapping. It was also nice at this wedding to be able to use a mixture of the Double Trees modern interior with riverside exterior for some great photographs.

Wood Green Wedding Fair - 22nd Feb 09

Louise & Phil Pre Wed

Thank goodness the snow has gone, I just didn’t realise that the snow would bring such flooding. Louise and Phil’s pre wed around the studio was hampered a little as a few of my favorite places were now under water!! The happy couple are getting married in May at the Willows, Wyboston Lakes near St Neots.

Good old British weather

I’ve not had a chance until now to upload the few shots I captured the morning of the big snow fall. The delay has mainly been due to having to catch up with all the pre wedding shoots that were booked in for last week, but had to be cancelled due to the snow.

The ducks all seemed to be huddled in one corner of the river, maybe it was warmer there?

This stretch of the river normally has at least two or three boats moored up, but the place was deserted, wise choice if you ask me.

Kaye & Geoff Pre Wedding Shoot

Kaye and Geoff will be getting married at Slepe Hall, which is only a stones throw from the studio. This made for an interesting shoot as I didn’t want to use any backgrounds that may be usable on the wedding day. I therefore set my self the task to shoot all the shots within the car park area of the studio and on a cold but sunny day found I had my work cut out by this self imposed restriction.
