Amy and Dave will be getting married at Hartford Church later on this year and lets hope they have the same glorious weather that we had today during their pre wedding shoot. The happy couple were really relaxed during the shoot and were a pleasure to work with, using various locations around the studio.

Wow, what a glorious day we had yesterday for the wedding of Christina & Daniel at Parklands, Quendon Hall in Essex. The sun shone all day which kept the guests happy as they enjoyed the afternoon reception on the lawn. It also made for some great photographic opportunities, something the happy couple were more than game for as they devoted a lot of their time to me, letting me explore the great grounds and interiors Parklands has to offer. I would like to thank Christina & Daniel for being such good models and really getting in to the romantic role and giving me the opportunity to capture some great shots.

2008 was a very good year for the studio and an exceptional year for lifestyle shoots. Thanks to Piggys Shoes in Stamford, we had a full summer of lifestyle bookings and even the start of the cold winter weather didn’t put clients off. My views on a good shot usually vary greatly from the clients or parents views on their favorite shot, but the following twelve images rate as some of the best that I shot in 2008.
Molbys Hair Shoot

Last week we did a shoot for Molbys Hair Salon in Huntingdon. It was the first round of a competition the salon was entering and they needed a shot of one of the new styles and colours they were hoping to do well. We shot the model on a plain grey background to complement the hair colour and kept the poses and lighting set up simple. Using a profoto ringflash as the main light with an additional profoto hair and back light gave a very clean crisp image.

Today I shot one of the last pre weddings of the year in Sutton Gault near Ely. Pre Wedding shoots are fun, informative and a vital part of a wedding booking for me and Sandy and Mathews shoot at their farm proved how important they are. The shoot went really well, with some great colorful backgrounds and locations around the farm, the only problem was finding it!! I must have rang the couple half a dozen times asking directions, and after navigating what felt like all the back lanes of Cambridgeshire, I found the farm and arrived with a big smile on my face . These are just a few of the shots taken and must say how well behaved the dogs were.
