I photographed the wedding of Katherine & Michael on Saturday at Swynford Paddocks near Newmarket. Luckily the weather was the total opposite of what we had received on the Friday and we were able to get some great shots around the grounds without Katherine’s shoes sinking to much in to the soil!!
I have just returned from London where I was attending a weeks workshop with Jerry Ghionis, one of the best wedding photographers in the world and wow what a week we had. I cannot express in words how inspiring this dude is and what a difference this week will make on my life and the lives of my clients and all those around me. We spent the week with Jerry teaching us how to take our photography and business to the next level, using his straight forward, straight from the heart and inspirational style. The first seven images below are a small representation of the shots Jerry set up and shot whilst we shot over his shoulder, the last four are from a task Jerry set that I shot.
The wedding of Emma & Gus took place at Sidney Sussex College in Cambridge during a day which promised rain that luckily never materialised. It was the first time I had shot a wedding in the beautiful College chapel and grounds and the endless photography options meant I had a great day and lot’s of fun.
I shot the pre wedding of Selene & Robert at Haughley Park yesterday evening and even the rain and poor weather couldn’t detract from the beautiful setting we were in. With an amazing house and fantastic gardens, Haughley Park must be one of the nicest venues I will have the pleasure to work at. We stayed away from the house and gardens for the shoot and used the rear of the renovated barn to show what great images you can get from simple backgrounds. I can’t wait to see how great the wedding images will look when we use the whole estate.
I have been eagerly anticipating the wedding of Jyoti & Sam for a few weeks now after the great experience I had capturing their Indian ceremony in May. Jyoti looked stunning in her designer Ian Stuart wedding gown which made for some beautiful portraits before the ceremony. Sam and all his attendants looked great in matching suites and really got into the swing of things with some fun shots before Jyoti arrived. I must say a big thank you to both Jyoti & Sam’s families for making me feel so welcome and part of a perfect day.
