Peterborough was the location for a great lifestyle shoot this morning and not even the cold weather or rain could stop the Schmidt family from having fun. Under normal circumstances the shoot would have been re-scheduled due to the weather but with the images being needed for Christmas we were left to battle the elements. The girls really got in to the spirit of things and had a great time running around the local woodland.
Winter weddings are always taxing with the drop in light and the risk of rain, but the wedding of Diane and Ray went smoothly with the rain avoiding us until we left the church for the reception at Bassmead Manor near St Neots in Cambridgeshire. The best man Paul surprised Ray by booking an Aston Martin to take them to the church and Diane and her bridesmaids arrived in two luxury vintage cars. Ray had a surprise for the guests in the church when he knelt down showing the sole of his shoes and giving them a giggle!!!
Today I dodged the weather to shoot the Cockshot family portrait at Brampton Mill near Huntingdon, Cambridgshire. There was no chance of putting this portrait off as one of the family members had flown in from Canada and this was the only date available. With constant showers we had to keep seeking shelter under umbrellas and a railway viaduct which provided a great background for some of the images.
Yesterday I photographed the wedding of Jill and Chris at Hinchingbooke House and wow what weather we had!! The biggest storms for months kept us pinned inside all day but we still had a great time and got some lovely shots. I photograph weddings in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, East Anglia, Lincolnshire, in fact I travel the whole of the UK if requested but love Hinchingbrooke House and feel it’s one of the best wedding venues around. With beautiful grounds and an amazing interior any photographer is spoilt for choice when it comes to wedding photography. Most couples would be tearing their hair out with the weather, but Jill and Chris were so relaxed and so much fun to photograph and be with during their special day.
