Laura & Daniel at Longstowe Hall wedding venue, Cambridgeshire
Because of the terrible weather we have been experiencing over the last month or so, and the subsequent cancellation and rescheduling of pre wedding shoots, last week we uploaded a few posts about how we work around difficult weather conditions.
These posts brought up several questions from our couples, asking us what happens on the wedding day if it's stormy and really wet, and we are hoping that these set of images from the wedding of Laura and Daniel at the beautiful Longstowe Hall in Cambridgehsire will show just how good stormy skies can be if you've chosen the right photographers.
The wedding was a few years ago in May, and it rained on and off for most of the day, but with a bit of timings juggling, lot's of interior photographic lighting, and an act of god (not photoshop) we were able to produce this stunning Queensberry album for the happy couple.
Dating from the reign of Elizabeth I, Longstowe Hall lies hidden within ancient woodland that opens out to reveal a glorious English garden, laid out in the 1890s for pleasure and entertaining. Discover the spectacular double flower borders, sheltered by 150 year old yew hedges, that parade down to the lake with its reflected view of the lime avenue beyond. Savour design in the rose garden, York flagstones and soft mown grass, carved balustrade and clipped box, soft lavenders and abundant English roses.
Longstowe Hall is a unique wedding venue and also hosts corporate events and away days.
