I had a really fun shoot today photographing two beautiful horses jumping, Cassie and Marley. This is an area the studio is going to develop further, so if you want your horse or any other animal capturing, please give the studio a call.

I will be photographing Bonnie and Andy’s wedding this weekend at the University Arms Hotel, Cambridge, so we decided to hold their pre wedding shoot there and have a look around at the same time. The University Arms has a very grand and splendid interior which I want to save for the wedding day, so a quite part of the hotel exterior seemed a perfect place for the shoot. It was a cold and windy day, but the couple soon relaxed and got into the swing of things and will be good fun to photograph on Saturday.

A busy week started with the pre wedding shoot of Sam and Harry at my studio near Cambridge. Sam and Harry will be getting married later in the year at a venue I love shooting at, Hinchingbrooke House near Huntingdon. They were such a great couple to photograph and seemed to relax in front of the camera within minutes, making my job a real pleasure and confirming my thoughts that their wedding would be a fun day to remember.

It was a cold day at the pre wedding shoot of Laura and Paul at the Brakenborough Arms Hotel, near Louth. The couple are getting married there in April and the hotel interior looks stunning after it’s recent refurbishment, with decor that any celeb wedding would be lucky to have. I tried to stay away from the hotel features that I will use on the wedding day, this included the stunning six foot tall silver thrones that will definitely be featured in the album.

I get asked to do lot’s of baby shoots but very few maternity shoots, in fact this was he first for many years and the last was in a studio. So I was very excited when Charlene and Dean asked me to photograph their bump, only a few days before the expected delivery date. As most photographers now shoot maternity shots in a studio on either a black or white backdrop, I decided to stick to my principles and keep the shoot very natural. We started the shots at Charlene’s parents house, getting some intimate images of Charlene and Dean and letting them get comfortable with the shoot. Though these shots are all very nice, it was still not what I was looking for so I suggested we find a natural rural backdrop. With the couple agreeing, we headed out and the remainder of the shoot took place on a farm near St Neots. With Charlene braving the cold and being game with my posing suggestions, we ended up with some beautiful images I’m proud of.

After our recent lighting tests with Marley, I decided it was time to do a few test shoots on different horses. Cassie and Bonnie made perfect test models for my chosen style of lighting and if the owners reactions to the images is anything to go by, the studio new venture should prove to be very popular this year.

Liz and Ed will be getting married at Hinchingbrooke House near Huntingdon later on this year and we thought it was about time we got their pre wedding images shot. We met at the studio and decided to venture out in to Fenstanton, an area Liz knows well from her childhood. Hinchingbrooke House is a beautiful wedding venue to hold a winter wedding and with such a great relaxed couple, I’m sure the images will be memories they will cherish forever.

I had a fun shoot yesterday with Kirsti and Neil who will be getting married in a delightful castle in Scotland next February. The temperature we experienced were probably similar to what we should expect on the wedding day but that still didn’t stop us having some fun and getting some great shots.

After spending the last few days resting with a bad back, and last night taking care of a poorly son, I thought todays shoot with the Shah family would test all my professionalism, but nothing could be further from the truth!! Spending a morning running around a garden with hyper 2, 4 and 6 year old children isn’t everyones cup of tea, but I love it, especially when you end up with some great shots you know the family will cherish. The children kept me on my toes as we played hide and seek and tea parties whilst trying to get natural shots of them in perfect light. I left with a huge smile on my face and a lovely thank you letter from Aydna.

Today I had a pre wedding appointment at the studio with Jennifer and Casey who will be getting married at Hotel Felix in Cambridge in September. Again the rain decided to show it’s face, but we managed to miss the worst of it and get some great urban shots of the couple.
