Ickworth House near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, was the venue for yesterdays wedding of Jessica and Richard. We had a great day and the weather was fantastic, which enabled the guests to enjoy drinks on the patio area while I took the happy couple around the house grounds. Ickworth is a National Trust venue and what a stunning backdrop it makes for a wedding. With beautiful grounds and great architecture I was spoilt for choice when given time with the happy couple.

I have been looking forward to this wedding for months and I wasn’t disappointed and I had a great day at Ravenwood Hall near Bury St Edmunds. Emma and Elliot had planned their wedding with a 30’s theme which really gave the day a funky feel and made it so much fun for me. From the groomsmen dressed like gangsters to the blue hotrod that carried the happy couple to a derelict church for a photo shoot, the day was full of surprises which kept the guests guessing and entertained.

A busy weekend was started off with the pre wedding shoot of Sam and Gavin at Rushton Hall near Kettering. It is the first time I have visited Rushton Hall and I must say it is a stunning wedding venue and will make the perfect backdrop for Sam and Gavins wedding in December.

Kimbolton Castle is a beautiful venue for a wedding and I was privileged to be a part of Claire and Conors big day on Saturday. With such fantastic weather all day, I was able to get some lovely shots of the happy couple both in and around the Castle. Kimbolton is a perfect choice for a wedding, with such a majestic exterior and ornate interior, a photographers dream.

The wedding of Victoria and Kieran must have been one of the hottest wedding days that I have ever photographed, but it was so much fun and a real pleasure to be a part of. The marque based wedding took place in the beautiful village of Ashdon near Saffron Walden in Essex.

What lovely weather Elspeth and John had celebrating their recent marriage at the Old Bridge Hotel earlier today. After getting married at a private ceremony earlier this week, the happy couple invited all their family and friends to the Old Bridge to enjoy some fine cuisine and the glorious weather.

Ravenwood Hall near Bury St Edmunds was the location for my pre wedding shoot this morning. As I have not shot a Ravenwood for a few years, I decided to meet Emma & Elliot there so they could show me their dreams and why they booked this particular venue. My memories of Ravenwood were of an idilic venue set amongst the most beautiful grounds and gardens and I wasn’t disappointed, in fact it was far nicer than I remembered. Emma and Elliot were great fun to photograph and I am looking forward to their big day in July, especially the theme they have planned which will really give the wedding a funky edge….watch this space on this one!!

I shot the pre wedding session of Stephanie and Doug at Hambleton Hall yesterday. Hambleton Hall is situated on a peninsular of Rutland water and commands both beautiful views of the lake and surrounding countryside. I am going to shoot Stephanie and Dougs wedding in a totally different style to most and probably won’t say a word to them all day. I will definitely be utilising a full documentary or fly on the wall style of photography which will test my artistic flare and ability to capture the essence of the day.

I have a full couple of days ahead of me with the design of Victoria and Paul’s Queensberry album. The album design is one of the most important aspects of a wedding to me as it is my interpretation of their big day and leaves the bride and groom with everlasting memories, it has to be perfect.

Kimbolton Castle was the location for yesterdays shoot and what a fun time I had. The sun was shinning on Claire and Conor when I met them in Kimbolton village for a quick look around the church before heading off to the castle for their pre wedding session. They seemed to have a great time and really appreciate my sense of humour and style as we walked around the castle grounds with me getting excited at every feature. I get such a feeling of satisfaction when I capture some beautiful romantic moments between a couple in love.
