Well the rain stopped for todays pre wedding shoot with Victoria and James, thank goodness. After a full week of what seemed like non stop rain, it was nice to get out in the sun for an hour and get some great shots of a fun couple. Victoria and James will be getting married at Tattersalls, Newmarket in June and if today is anything to go by, it should be great fun with lot’s of giggles.

Yesterday I was commissioned by three riders to capture shots for them at the Home Farm, Hunter Trial near Alconbury. With such a big course to cover, I stayed around a few select jumps around the start and finish area, modern cameras are lighter than they used to be but still heavy to carry about on a x-country course. We got some great images of our riders, with a mixture of standard close up jumping shots and wider arty shots that proved to be my favourites of the day.

We completed Louise and Guys Queensberry wedding album design earlier this week and I must say it looks stunning. The happy couple got married at the Bedford Swan Hotel on the 1st April.

I am still buzzing after the great pre wedding shoot with Helen and Paul near Stilton yesterday. What appeared to be a very relaxed country style marque based wedding suddenly turned in to so much more and what could be one of the best evening shoots we have this year. As we explored the village looking for locations for the big day, we turned a corner to find a church ruin and omg what a backdrop it will make for the evening shoot as the sun sets.

I only had my iphone on me when we shot these images of the guys at Ferndale Livery as the sun was setting. The light was amazing and I just couldn’t resist running down and capturing the guys as they raced through the puddles that had formed with all the heavy rain.

I’ve been told it takes years to create that bond between the horse and it’s rider and I think Kim is getting there with Marley. They have a fun relationship to say the least and it’s like bringing up a teenage boy full of E numbers but you can see the bond between them is there.

Kim and I had a day out last week at the Belton International Horse Trials and what a fun time we had. I can never esist taking my camera to these events and wanted to get some great shots of the riders on the x-country course as well as something a little different in front of Belton House, which I think I did?

Congratulations to Louise and Guy who got married yesterday at the Bedford Swan Hotel, and what a great day it was. I was told on Friday that Sunday would be dull and cold, maybe it was an early April fool or just wrong info, but either way they were wrong as it was another day of clear skies and blazing sun. So once again I had my work cut out controlling the sun to create some stunning images and leave Louise and Guy with an album they will cherish forever.
