As promised, here are a few shots from Alix and Dave’s wedding at Anstey Hall, Cambridge. The day ran with military precision, which I presume was down to Alix’s planning, or maybe Dave with his military back ground?, either way, it was a perfect day and one I’m proud to have been a part of.
The end of a busy week culminated in me shooting the wedding of Bonnie and Andy at the University Arms Hotel, Cambridge. Saturday ended up being a cold and rainy day, a day that would normally make most brides cry when opening the bedroom curtains, but the University Arms is a perfect venue for this type of weather. With stunning reception and dining rooms and an original old fashioned lift, the hotel was perfect for me to capture the true essence of Bonnie and Andy’s celebrations. They were a great couple to work with, fun, bubbly and definitely on my wave length when it came to capturing perfect memories of their big day.
Friday was a full day with me photographing the wedding of Ellen and John at St Etheldreda’s church in Ely, followed by a reception at South Farm, near Royston. Weddings at South Farm are quite unique as some of the guests get to stay in the beautiful gypsy caravans that South Farm have in the grounds. The caravans made a great setting for a series of photographs and the novel marryoke!! The marryoke was set up by the video team and had the couple singing and dancing to their favourite song, this would then be repeated later with all the guests and then edited with music, before being uploaded to the internet for all their family and friends to see.
