Jannine & Paul’s wedding at Hotel Felix

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Hotel Felix was the location for Saturdays wedding of Jannine and Paul and what a great day they had. The happy couple got married at All Saints church in St Ives before heading off to Hotel Felix, a lovely venue on the outskirts of Cambridge. We got some great shots throughout the day and had a cool shoot in the evening using the hotels contemporary interior to give us a unique contrast to the garden shots.

Ellen & John wedding at South Farm

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Friday was a full day with me photographing the wedding of Ellen and John at St Etheldreda’s church in Ely, followed by a reception at South Farm, near Royston. Weddings at South Farm are quite unique as some of the guests get to stay in the beautiful gypsy caravans that South Farm have in the grounds. The caravans made a great setting for a series of photographs and the novel marryoke!! The marryoke was set up by the video team and had the couple singing and dancing to their favourite song, this would then be repeated later with all the guests and then edited with music, before being uploaded to the internet for all their family and friends to see.

Katie & Dan Wedding at the Masonic Hall, Huntingdon

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Saturday had me shooting the wedding of Katie and Dan at St Thomas A Becket church in Ramsey, with us going on for the reception to the Masonic Hall in Huntingdon. Yet again the weather men told us to expect rain and yet again, they got it wrong and I only had to deal with a few odd spots. The highlight of the day was a photo shoot at Ramsey Abbey, a magnificent building which gave us a perfect back drop for some great shots.

Jennifer & Casey Pre Wedding Shoot

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Today I had a pre wedding appointment at the studio with Jennifer and Casey who will be getting married at Hotel Felix in Cambridge in September. Again the rain decided to show it’s face, but we managed to miss the worst of it and get some great urban shots of the couple.

Ellen & John Pre Wedding shoot at South Farm

Friday, August 13th, 2010

I shot the pre wedding images of Ellen and John at South Farm yesterday and not even the rain could put us off from exploring the beautiful gardens and getting some great shots. South Farm is a very charming venue and a perfect setting for the happy couples wedding in September. It is unique in that its has four gypsy caravans for guests to stay in, which should make a stunning feature in the couples wedding images.

Victoria & William’s wedding in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

It’s was nice to shoot Saturdays wedding in the beautiful village of Godmanchester, I seem to travel all over the UK, so a wedding so close to home was cool. Victoria and William got married in Godmanchester church with the reception being held at The Gables, one of the oldest houses in the village dating back to the 1600’s. The Gables was once a working farm and gave us a perfect backdrop for some great shots of the couple.

Sandrine & Chris wedding at Barrington Hall, Cambridge

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

I had another great time yesterday at the wedding of Sandrine and Chris at the beautiful Barrington Hall near Cambridge. It was a unique wedding as a lot of Sandrines family had travelled from France and both the service and speeches were repeated in both English and French. I felt relatively fresh after a twelve hour day, as I had met Chris at Barrington at 9am for the groom preparation shots and took the last image at 8:45pm when Samdrine and Chris had their first dance, a really cool latin number.

Sam & Gavin Pre Wedding at Rushton Hall

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

A busy weekend was started off with the pre wedding shoot of Sam and Gavin at Rushton Hall near Kettering. It is the first time I have visited Rushton Hall and I must say it is a stunning wedding venue and will make the perfect backdrop for Sam and Gavins wedding in December.

Claire & Conor, Wedding at Kimbolton Castle

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Kimbolton Castle is a beautiful venue for a wedding and I was privileged to be a part of Claire and Conors big day on Saturday. With such fantastic weather all day, I was able to get some lovely shots of the happy couple both in and around the Castle. Kimbolton is a perfect choice for a wedding, with such a majestic exterior and ornate interior, a photographers dream.

Sarah & Simon Pre Wedding Shoot

Friday, July 9th, 2010

I have just returned from a great pre wedding shoot with Sarah and Simon who will be getting married at the beautiful Barrington Hall in September. I met the couple in Godmanchester and spent the morning exploring the surrounding countryside and shooting some beautiful images. The weather was glorious which really brought out the richness and colours in the greenery and rivers and Sarah and Simon really got in to the shoot and seemed to relax in minutes getting in to the romantic swing of things. Hopefully they left enjoying the shoot as much as I did and will appreciate the fun shot we did in the graveyard?
