Yet another great week at the studio with two new Queensberry album designs completed and four more confirmed bookings for 2011 and 2012 weddings. I shoot a maximum of 25 weddings a year to ensure I keep my business exclusive and more importantly, to keep me fresh and inspired. Wedding photography is a passion for me, a lifestyle rather than a job and I feel that taking to many wedding bookings each year could turn my love of weddings in to a production line!!!

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010Stephanie & Doug’s Wedding at Hambleton Hall
Tuesday, July 6th, 2010I had the pleasure in photographing the wedding of Stephanie and Doug at Hambleton Hall on Sunday and what a fantastic day it was. I really do think I have one of the best jobs in the world and always look forward to shooting a wedding at Hambleton Hall, with it’s stunning views and amazing gardens. My brief for the day was slightly different from most weddings as it was purely reportage with no set up shots at all which gave me full freedom to roam and shoot naturally. We went for a walk in the gardens and I left all the posed shots to my young assistant Tino, who will one day make an amazing photographer.

Hambleton Hall Pre Wedding
Saturday, May 8th, 2010I shot the pre wedding session of Stephanie and Doug at Hambleton Hall yesterday. Hambleton Hall is situated on a peninsular of Rutland water and commands both beautiful views of the lake and surrounding countryside. I am going to shoot Stephanie and Dougs wedding in a totally different style to most and probably won’t say a word to them all day. I will definitely be utilising a full documentary or fly on the wall style of photography which will test my artistic flare and ability to capture the essence of the day.

Karen & Bram Wedding
Sunday, January 10th, 2010I shot my first wedding of the year yesterday at Hambleton Hall near Oakham in Rutland. I must admit I arrived with some relief for the wedding of Karen and Bram after a stressful drive in the severe snowy conditions. The Hall looked beautiful covered in snow and Karen and Bram where both up for some fun and we had a great time outside playing in the snow. I must say what a great shot Karen’s sister Rachel is with a snowball and I was lucky enough to capture a shot as a perfectly aimed snowball hit Karen on the back of the head, happily she saw the funny side!!
