Old Bridge Hotel wedding

Friday, September 30th, 2011

Tomorrows weather looks like it is going to be a real scorcher for the wedding of Sarah and Chris, not bad for October. The happy couple will be tying the knot at the beautiful Old Bridge Hotel set on the banks of the River Ouse near Huntingdon. I’m spoilt for choice background wise at this venue, but I’ll be looking for something a little different tomorrow.

Sarah & Chris’s pre wedding shoot in Huntingdon

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Sarah and Chris will be getting married at The Old Bridge Hotel, Huntingdon in a few weeks time, so it seemed right to hold their pre wedding shoot their yesterday. The Old Bridge Hotel is a great wedding venue, in fact it’s so good, it’s the choice for my wedding next year.

Victoria & Paul’s wedding at Hinchingbrooke House

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

Hinchingbrooke House is a very popular venue for me and I have to push my imagination at every wedding to give the bride and groom something new. Yesterday, I took Victoria and Paul in to the rose garden for what turned out to be a very romantic shoot at a time when the couple just needed a break from the hustle and bustle of the day.

Victoria and Paul’s big day tomorrow

Friday, September 9th, 2011

I’m all set for tomorrows wedding at Hinchingbrooke House, Huntingdon. Fingers crossed for some more glorious weather, I’m sure it will help settle Victoria and Paul’s nerves if they know it’s going to be a beautiful day. I have a few ideas up my sleeve for some new unique images from the rose garden, a bit of sun would help here.

Sam & Harry’s wedding at Hinchingbrooke House

Monday, August 29th, 2011

The weekend was kicked off with me covering the wedding of Sam & Harry at St Mary’s church, Hitchin and Hinchingbrooke House, near Huntingdon. The weather men had promised some clear skies mixed with rain, perfect!! the rain came as we were waiting at the church for Sam to arrive and apart from this quick shower, we were blessed with some glorious weather. The highlight of the day for me was the first dance, the best I have photographed in my twenty years of weddings and one I wasn’t expecting. Sam and Harry started off with a nice romantic shuffle, nice and simple, then suddenly the dj appeared to scratch the track, omg I thought, what’s he playing at? The track then went in to some rocking tunes which the couple started to bop to, a fantastic end to my evenings work.

Alison & Matt’s wedding at Hinchingbrooke House

Monday, August 1st, 2011

I had a great day on Saturday at the wedding of Alison and Matt at Hinchingbrooke House near Huntingdon. Yet again we couldn’t have asked for better weather and the sun was beaming as the guests listen to the jazz band on the terrace. It was great seeing Alison and Matt enjoying themselves so much through the day, with surprise after surprise being thrown at the guests. First of all the happy couple performed with the band, Matt on keyboards and Alison on saxophone, then Matt sang a beautiful Elton John song for Alison, before they took to the dance floor to complete a superb salsa style first dance, a fab day.

Victoria & Paul pre wedding shoot at Hinchingbrooke House

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

Victoria and Paul will be getting married at the beautiful Hinchingbrooke House in a few weeks time and so we decided to shoot the pre wed shots using the grounds menacing walls. I get a lot of weddings at Hinchingbrooke and it’s always nice to shoot something different for every couple getting married there. The Houses surrounding walls make an excellent backdrop which I may introduce for a few of the more themed shots on the day. Victoria and Paul hopefully left the shoot feeling more relaxed in the fact that they now know how fab there big day is going to be.

Holly and Joe’s wedding at Kimbolton Castle

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

I remember writing a recent post explaining how that days wedding was the wettest I had ever covered, well it was easily pushed in to second place by yesterdays wedding at Kimbolton Castle. Holly and Joe must have woken up and thought, why us, this is supposed to be a summer wedding!! I tell every couple not to worry, they pay me to get the results whatever the weather and usingĀ a mixture of reflectors, tungsten and studio ringflash, we got some beautiful images and by mid afternoon, the horrendous weather gave us a break and the sun even showed itself, giving us a chance to get out in the Castles beautiful grounds.

Kimbolton Castle Wedding

Friday, July 15th, 2011

I am looking forward to having a great day tomorrow at the wedding of Holly and Joe, with the ceremony at Kimbolton church and the reception at Kimbolton Castle. Kimbolton is an amazing venue with grand architecture and with the weather men promising rain, we’ll need all the beautiful interiors to. I get quite a few weddings at Kimbolton and seem to be a teachers favourite, you may recognise this shot from the wedding of Claire & Conor who got married at Kimbolton last year.
