I was at South Farm near Royston on Sunday for the wedding of Juliet and Dan and what a great day I had. We were blessed with another glorious day of sunshine which made for some great shots around South Farms beautiful gardens. For me the day was topped off with a lovely sunset prompting me to drag the happy couple away from their guests for a quick photo shoot, well worth it though.
The sun shone and the air was full of laughter whilst I shot Juliet and Dan’s pre wedding images this afternoon at the studio. I don’t think I’ve ever photographed such a fun loving couple that are so full of life, they didn’t stop laughing and smiling from start to finish and to be honest, neither did I. I can’t wait for their wedding day in May, this one will be so much with the happy couple getting married in Shepreth church followed by the reception at South Farm.
Friday was a full day with me photographing the wedding of Ellen and John at St Etheldreda’s church in Ely, followed by a reception at South Farm, near Royston. Weddings at South Farm are quite unique as some of the guests get to stay in the beautiful gypsy caravans that South Farm have in the grounds. The caravans made a great setting for a series of photographs and the novel marryoke!! The marryoke was set up by the video team and had the couple singing and dancing to their favourite song, this would then be repeated later with all the guests and then edited with music, before being uploaded to the internet for all their family and friends to see.
I shot the pre wedding images of Ellen and John at South Farm yesterday and not even the rain could put us off from exploring the beautiful gardens and getting some great shots. South Farm is a very charming venue and a perfect setting for the happy couples wedding in September. It is unique in that its has four gypsy caravans for guests to stay in, which should make a stunning feature in the couples wedding images.
