Burghley House wedding 2012

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

I am really excited as Jo & Eden have just booked me to shoot their 2012 wedding at Burghley House near Stamford. Burghley’s superb Elizabethan architecture with its fairytale roofline overlooking beautiful gardens provides the perfect backdrop to a wedding ceremony and reception. This is one wedding  that fills me with excitement and a wedding that I’m sure will be truly memorable.

Amanda & Darren’s wedding at Barnsdale Hall, Oakham

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Saturday was a fun and eventful day, which started off with us covering the wedding of Amanda and Darren at Barnsdale Hall in Rutland and ended up with us sat on the A1 with a shredded tyre!! With a great venue and some glorious weather, this was always going to be a wedding to remember. The last few hours on the A1 will soon be forgotten and we’ll be left with some beautiful and intimate images of a fun couple enjoying an amazing day and one I’m proud to have been a part of. I won’t forget the young bridesmaids playing with the reserved sign outside of the church, it started with the words ‘wedding’ but ended up saying ‘funeral’, it did make me laugh.

Jayne & Andy’s wedding at Normanton Park Hotel

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

A day I’ll remember for a very long time for sure, fun laughter and tears were all on the menu for the wedding of Jayne and Andy at Normanton Park. With great weather and such a beautiful venue, all I needed was a fun couple to make the perfect wedding and Jayne and Andy are packed with fun, enough to keep me laughing from the early morning getting ready shots until the sunset shoot on the edge of Rutland Water. The highlight of the day for me was the surprise singers, who whilst dressed as the hotel manager, head chef and  a waiter, wowed the guests during the wedding breakfast with a melody of songs that would have been fit for the West End. They ended their routine by getting all the guests up dancing and singing, the room rocked with fun and laughter and I got a little emotional with a tear in my eye, an evening I’ll never forget.

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

I’m all set for tomorrows wedding of Jayne and Andy at Normanton Park Hotel near Oakham, Rutland. Just spoken to Jayne and she is relaxing at the hotel while Andy is off playing golf with his mates. The weather is looking reasonable and Normanton Park Hotel is set on the edge of Rutland water with stunning views and beautiful surroundings, so all in all, it should be a good day

Amanda & Darren pre wedding shoot

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

After a busy weekend, it was nice to start the week with an easy pre wedding shoot with Amanda and Darren, who will be getting married at the beautiful Barnsdale Hall Hotel later in the year. Barnsdale Hall is set on a hill over looking Rutland water. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Hall is a perfect setting for some stunning wedding images with such a fun couple.

New Year, new project?

Friday, January 7th, 2011

Happy New Year to you all, I hope everyone had a great time seeing in the New Year?

2011 looks as though it is going to been another great year at the studio with wedding bookings nearly reaching my set limit for the year. I believe in keeping the number of weddings I shoot a year to 25, this way I stay fresh and remain exclusive to my bride and grooms.

I also have a new project in the pipeline which I’m very excited about, it is a totally different direction for my photography, so watch out for updates over the next few weeks.

2011 wedding bookings

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Yet another great week at the studio with two new Queensberry album designs completed and four more confirmed bookings for 2011 and 2012 weddings. I shoot a maximum of 25 weddings a year to ensure I keep my business exclusive and more importantly, to keep me fresh and inspired. Wedding photography is a passion for me, a lifestyle rather than a job and I feel that taking to many wedding bookings each year could turn my love of weddings in to a production line!!!
